The MAPPA Listserv is a service available to members. It is dedicated to the discussion of any topic of interest to those engaged in the management of campus facilities for colleges and universities.
Expected topics should include issues relating to the operations or maintenance of campus facilities, planning or construction of campus facilities, or management issues relating to facilities personnel, job openings at universities and colleges and other events of interest to MAPPA members.
Subscription is open to all, but will be most beneficial for those who are MAPPA members or other facilities professionals engaged in managing college and university campus buildings, grounds, utilities and auxiliaries. This list is not intended for commercial use. Advertisements and commercial postings are not allowed and will be discarded by the list moderator.

Subscription is open to all, but will be most beneficial for trainers or other facilities professionals engaged in training at Universities or Colleges. This list is not intended for commercial use. Advertisements and commercial postings are not appropriate. MAPPA Listserv Rules & Etiquette
Thank you for being a part of the MAPPA listserv. This listserv is an e-mail discussion list hosted by Iowa State University and provides a forum in which members can read about professional facilities-related issues and post their own questions or responses. If you have already subscribed, you may post a question or comment to email@example.com. If you have not joined, please read the List Guidelines below before requesting to be added to the list.
To ensure the best possible experience for all group members, we have established some basic guidelines for participation.
As a subscriber to the MAPPA listserv, you agree to the following:
§ You agree not to post material which is abusive, offensive, defamatory, or illegal. The discussions on the lists are meant to stimulate conversation not to create contention.
§ You agree not to post commercial messages. Contact people directly with product and service information.
§ You agree to share at your own risk. There is no way we can ensure confidential material to remain on the list. MAPPA listserv subscribers have the right to reproduce postings to the listserv.
§ You agree to have read the disclaimer and legal issues below.
MAPPA Listserv Etiquette
§ Only send a message to the entire list when it contains information that everyone can benefit from.
§ Avoid sending messages with limited substance, such as “I agree!” or “thanks for the information” to the entire list. Send these messages to the individual by typing in or cutting and pasting in the e-mail address.
§ Include a signature tag on all messages. Include your name, affiliation, location, and e-mail address. Please refrain from including graphics or favorite quotes in the signature tag.
§ State concisely and clearly the topic of your comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting.
§ Include only the relevant portions of the original message in your reply. Delete any header information, and put your response before the original posting.
§ Do not send administrative messages, such as remove me from the list, through the listserv. Instead, use the moderator’s e-mail link (firstname.lastname@example.org) to request removal from this list. If you are changing e-mail addresses, please advise the list moderator to remove you from the list and ask to rejoin with your new e-mail address.

Currently, the list manager actively monitors this list and reserves the right to suppress any posts at the moderator’s discretion and reserves the right to suspend or terminate list access to for any member who does not abide by these guidelines.
