Illinois State University has a long history and relationship with ILAPPA, MAPPA, and APPA, utilizing this membership for the following value-added services:
Professional Development: Numerous professional development resources are available, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and publications. Access to these resources helps members stay current with industry trends, learn new skills and perspectives, enrich their knowledge, and advance their careers.
Networking: Members can attend conferences and events, participate in online forums, and join state or regional chapters to build relationships with colleagues and potential employers or employees.
Access to Resources: Members gain access to a wealth of resources, including research and benchmarking data, best practices guides, and technical resources. These resources help members make informed decisions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations.
Advocacy: APPA advocates for the interests of facilities management professionals at the local, state, and national levels. Members can get involved in advocacy efforts to help shape public policy and raise awareness of issues affecting the industry.
Membership is open to:
Educational institutions: All 4-year colleges and universities, 2-year community and technical colleges, K-12 school districts, libraries, and museums with a facilities department and administrator.
Business partners: Small businesses to large corporations that provide products and/or services to the facilities management marketplace, especially those with an interest in educational facilities.
Other non-profit organizations: Hospitals, churches, military bases, and other organizations with an interest in facilities management.
Individuals: Retired members in good standing and students studying facilities management.
