Joining MAPPA

We are here to serve new and existing members.
Receive Professional Development, Networking, Resources, and Advocacy

Hello, My name is Jeff Miller. I am a Senior Vice President at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, OH. I also have the great pleasure of being the Membership Chair for MAPPA.

MAPPA is the Midwest Region of APPA, consisting of institutions throughout Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

My team at Sinclair enjoys the relationship with MAPPA and APPA based on the following value-added services:

  • Professional Development: A variety of professional development resources, including conferences, workshops, webinars, and publications. These resources help members stay up-to-date with industry trends, learn new skills, and advance their careers.

  • Networking: Opportunities for members to connect with other professionals in the field of facilities management. Members can attend conferences and events, participate in online forums, and join regional chapters to build relationships with colleagues and potential employers.

  • Access to Resources: Access to a wealth of resources, including research and bench-marking data, best practices guides, and technical resources. These resources can help members make informed decisions and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their operations.

  • Advocacy: APPA advocates for the interests of facilities management professionals at the local, state, and national levels. Members can get involved in advocacy efforts to help shape public policy and raise awareness of issues affecting the industry

Membership is open to:

  • All 4-year colleges and universities, 2-year community and technical colleges, K-12, school districts, and libraries and museums that have a facilities department and administrator;

  • All corporations/ business partners who provide products and services to the facilities management marketplace or who have an interest in reaching facilities managers in the education environment;

  • Other non-profit organizations with an interest in facilities management, such as hospitals, churches, and military bases;

  • Individuals who have retired as a member in good standing and students studying facilities management.
